Workshop CLOSED- Saturday 7 March 2020

Salaam Alaykum,
Insha’Allah you are well.

Having consulted MKSI Jamaat management team and medical professionals, and after careful deliberation the Saturday Workshop has decided that in the interest of safety and well-being of the staff and children of the Workshop, to close the Workshop this Saturday 7 March 2020.

The Saturday Workshop will closely monitor the situation on a week by week basis working closely with the MKSI Jamaat management team and advice from medical professionals and will keep all the staff and parents updated when normal services will resume.

Please note that in light of the situation, the Saturday Workshop has suspended the informal Assessments scheduled for next week, 14 March 2020, including all other programs i.e. the theme day until further notice.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, thank you for your patience and urge you all to pray for the well-being and safety of all our staff, parents and children.

Class P 15th Feb 2020

This week in Class P…

Our learning objectives were:

to recognise that Allah is everywhere
to discover that Allah is the most powerful

After a brief recap of Allah’s beautiful names, children were asked if they could call Allah at madressa, home, school, park etc and if Allah could hear them in those places. They all said yes. They were told it was because Allah is everywhere.
After that we recited a rhyme “Allah Allah where are you….” (by doing actions/looking at different places) to find Allah e.g. running, swimming, flying, climbing up the mountain, under the sea, in the clouds etc. At the end we concluded that Allah is EVERYWHERE.

After lunch they learnt that Allah is the most powerful by listening to the story of ashab al feel by using props.

Then was Salah time. We finished with reading a storybook.

Alhumdolillah we had a great time

TIMELINE SESSIONS FOR JUNIORS AND SENIORS DURING SALAAH TIME

Further to the Infants assemblies running exceptionally well, the Saturday Workshop has now extended this on a similar theme to the Juniors and Seniors by running “Timeline Sessions” during Salaah Time at the Workshop every week. The timetable will be uploaded to the assembly rota section of the website.

The aim of these sessions is to enlighten the children with the awareness of the Wilaadats and Shahadats of our Masoomeen (as).
The selected children per class will discuss about the Massomeen (as) when an event regarding the Masoomeen falls during that particular week or month.

The sessions have been organised by sister Batool Salman and are facilitated by the students themselves with help from Sister Salma Aly, Brother Mohammadali Jafri and Mukhtar Master.
Parents are requested to encourage their children to volunteer to take part and also help and support them.

The session for this week will be on the upcoming Shahadat of the 10th Imam (as) and the facilitators will be Zainul Abideen Rajani in the Boys and Zoya Sakina Vakil in the Girls.

We look forward to seeing the children’s presentations.
